Supporting Child(ren) Service Participants - Child and Youth Support Volunteer

Child and Youth Support Volunteers are assigned to a unit based on their experience and interest. They will be working on personalized goals to meet the therapeutic needs of the Service Participant. This may include providing support to 1-1, out of home care or group programming. The role includes material preparation and research as required to enhance the Service Participants service experience and goal attainment.

Qualifications:

•       Education, training or life experience that is relevant to the work being completed

•       Criminal & Judicial Matters and Vulnerable Sector Record Check & Children’s Aid Society

•       Declaration/Release

 

Time Commitment:

•       Available to work flexible hours including evenings

•       Volunteers are scheduled based on their availability and the needs of the program and participants

•       A minimum of a 6 month commitment is required.

 

Qualifications Required

  • Children's Aid clearance Must be at least Completed
  • Confidentiality Agreement Must be at least Completed
  • Police check Must be at least Completed
