Community Networking Co-Team Lead Volunteer
The Community Networking Co-Team Lead will collaboratively support and coordinate the Community Networking Team.

Time commitment: 4-6 hours per week (with the opportunity to increase hours as agreed upon by the volunteer and the MHC)

Technology requirements: computer, high-speed internet, phone
*Please note that the capacity to attend occasional events in Edmonton or Calgary areas is an asset*
Role responsibilities:

Respond to volunteer questions

Source and facilitate training opportunities (for example, increasing team knowledge about mental health service options)

Follow up on volunteer time sheets. These conversations are supportive and are meant to check whether a volunteer is overextending themselves or has a personal circumstance which merits adjusting their volunteering commitment.

Oversee the overall development of MHC’s connections within the community

Plan & execute community events and connect with community partners

Provide direction to the CN team regarding monthly projects and/or outreach focuses

Coordinate with other MHC teams to effectively manage community partnerships and collaborative projects (e.g. collaborate with the Digital Communications team to maintain consistent messaging)

Participate in volunteer coaching and development conversations (with training and ongoing support)

Conduct biannual volunteer check-ins

Chair monthly meetings to provide updates and brainstorm ideas

Conduct interviews for new team members
