Event Name: A KiKi Social with Collective Hope Coalition

Time: 11am - 4pm (Multiple Shifts Available) 

Location: Sue Ellen’s (3014 Throckmorton St, Dallas, TX 75219) 

Summary:

Join the Collective Hope Coalition for this event during HOPE Month! HOPE – Homelessness, Outreach, Prevention, and Education month is a time to connect with clients to provide services and education opportunities centering homelessness and housing insecurity. We specifically focus on factors related to LGBTQIA+ youth and young adult homelessness, but hope that everyone feels drawn to support this deeply important cause. The social component seeks to help attendees make connections and express themselves in a fun, judgement-free environment. Simultaneously, there will be information about services and onsite service providers seeking to connect attendees with local resources. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and support our mission of instilling dignity, stability, and hope for all!

Volunteer Roles:

• Tabling Volunteers (Set-Up & First Shift) - 11am - 1:30pm
  
  • Represent Dallas Hope Charities while supporting the Collective Hope Coalition KiKi Social Event 
  • Help set-up tables for the event, including check in table and lunch distribution tables 
  • Hand out worthy bags and provide information on resources & support DHC provides
  • Comfortable engaging with community members
    
    

• Tabling Volunteers (Second Shift & Tear-Down) - 1:30pm - 4pm 

  • Represent Dallas Hope Charities while supporting the Collective Hope Coalition KiKi Social Event 

  • Hand out worthy bags and provide information on resources & support DHC provides

  • Comfortable engaging with community members

  • Help with tear-down of the event
    
    

• Photographer/Videographer - 11:30am - 3pm
  
  

  • Capture the moments that make this event special, documenting the fun and excitement for all to remember.
  • Must provide their own camera equipment
  • If interested and qualified for the photographer/videographer volunteer, please reach out to hope@dallashopecharities.org

Dress Code: Blue DHC T-Shirt (one will be provided at volunteer check-in if you do not have one), comfortable pants or jeans, and closed toed shoes.

Additional Info

Check-In/Out: Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins to check in with the DHC staff lead and receive instructions.

Log Hours: You will be asked by your volunteer lead(s) to check in and check out via our Timeclock feature HERE.

You can use your username OR your personal QR code. Please note that when scanning the QR code, you must first open the time clock via Safari to scan the QR code for check-in and out.

Cancellations: If you are unable to attend your shift, please notify your volunteer lead as soon as possible.

Liability Waiver: All Hope Dealers must have a current volunteer agreement on file. This only needs to be completed once per year.
