Event Name: Tabling at Queer African Movie Night

Summary:

Join Dallas Hope Charities in support of Queer Motherland at their Queer African Movie Night! This is an intimate and intentional evening dedicated to celebrating queer African love through film, storytelling, and community. Through the screening of Rafiki, a queer African romance film, attendees will experience powerful love stories set across the African continent that challenge dominant narratives and honor the depth of queer African relationships. Dallas Hope Charities will be tabling while providing event support, worthy bags, and connecting with the community!

Roles Available: 

Tabling Volunteers: 

• Assist with set-up and clean-up of tabling materials.
• Connect with community members and provide worthy bags and information about DHC.

Tabling Leads:

• We are also looking for experienced volunteers to help lead this event!

• May require supply pick up the day before (Friday, Feb. 27) and supply drop off the Monday after (March 2)

Dress Code: Blue DHC T-Shirt (one will be provided at volunteer check-in if you do not have one), comfortable pants or jeans, and closed toed shoes.

Requirements

• Comfortable engaging with community members
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift minimum of 25lbs.

Additional Info

Check-In/Out: Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins to check in with the DHC staff lead and receive instructions.

Log Hours: You will be asked by your volunteer lead(s) to check in and check out via our Timeclock feature HERE.

You can use your username OR your personal QR code. Please note that when scanning the QR code, you must first open the time clock via Safari to scan the QR code for check-in and out.

Cancellations: If you are unable to attend your shift, please notify your volunteer lead as soon as possible.

Liability Waiver: All Hope Dealers must have a current volunteer agreement on file. This only needs to be completed once per year.
