Hope Dealer Shift: Gardening Enthusiast

Preferred Date: Based on the volunteer's availability during growing season (mid-April to mid-October).
Preferred Time: Based on the volunteer's availability
Please arrive prior to your designated shift to have time for check-in and setup instructions.
Location: Hope Center, East Dallas
To ensure the privacy and safety of Dallas Hope Charities' residents and confidentiality is maintained, the location will be provided upon the group's confirmation.

Summary: A hands-on volunteer that works to guide our participants in the gardening process. The Garden Volunteer duties will involve committing one day a week, for up to two hours, spending time teaching participants how to care for and maintain a garden by providing direct guidance through communication and demonstration in hands-on interaction with gardeners. The commitment will last throughout a growing season (mid-April to mid-October, weather permitting).  

Requirements:

  • Hope Dealer must be 21 or older.
  • Gardening Knowledge.
  • Ability to teach young adults ages 18-24
  • Approved Background Check
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement
  • Additional volunteer training may be required.

Dress Code: comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toed shoes
