Summary:

Join Dallas Hope Charities and our Collective Hope Coalition to bring LGBTQIA+ friendly services directly to the community with the help of our Coalition members and community partners! We are seeking volunteers to help make this annual Resource Fair a success. Your support and participation directly contribute to our mission of providing food, shelter, and services that instill dignity, stability, and hope for all. See more details below!

Volunteer Roles

• Check-In Volunteers
  • Assist with counting event guests, handing out passports, and answering questions about the event space.

Requirements

• Comfortable engaging with community members

• Able to stand or walk for extended periods

• Able to lift minimum of 25lbs.

• After8ToEducate requires a background check for all volunteers at their facility. Create an account HERE and follow all requirements. Use the following responses where applicable:
  • Volunteer Type: General Community
  • Fanned School List: Harris, Fannie C. Youth Center (After8ToEducate)
• Once you have completed the Background Check Consent, register for the event HERE.

Dress Code: Blue DHC T-Shirt (one will be provided at volunteer check-in if you do not have one), comfortable pants or jeans, and closed toed shoes.

Additional Info

Check-In/Out: Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins to check in with the DHC staff lead and receive instructions.

Log Hours: You will be asked by your volunteer lead(s) to check in and check out via our Timeclock feature HERE.

You can use your username OR your personal QR code. Please note that when scanning the QR code, you must first open the time clock via Safari to scan the QR code for check-in and out.

Cancellations: If you are unable to attend your shift, please notify your volunteer lead as soon as possible.

Liability Waiver: All Hope Dealers must have a current volunteer agreement on file. This only needs to be completed once per year.
