Summary:
Join Dallas Hope Charities in partnership with Oak Lawn United Methodist Church! We will be tabling at their 7th annual Trans & Non-Binary Clothing Swap and Resource Fair. This event is designed to be a safe, affirming, and joy-filled space for trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive people to be fashioned with gender affirming clothing in confidence and privacy, connect with trusted community resources, and access care, information, and support in one welcoming location. As a vendor, DHC will be handing out worthy bags and connecting with our community to provide additional support and resources.
Volunteer Roles:
- Tabling Leads:
- We are looking for experienced volunteers to help lead this event!
- May require supply pick up the day before (Thursday, March 26) and supply drop off the Monday after (March 30).

- Set Up & Tabling Shift 1: 9:30am - 1:00pm
- Represent Dallas Hope Charities while supporting Oak Lawn UMC.
- Help set-up table
- Hand out worthy bags and provide information on resources & support DHC provides
- Comfortable engaging with community members
- Tabling Shift 2 & Tear Down: 1pm - 4:30pm
- Represent Dallas Hope Charities while supporting the Student Care Network Showcase.
- Hand out worthy bags and provide information on resources & support DHC provides
- Comfortable engaging with community members
- Help with tear down at the end of the event
Dress Code: Blue DHC T-Shirt (one will be provided at volunteer check-in if you do not have one), comfortable pants or jeans, and closed toed shoes.

Additional Info
Check-In/Out: Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins to check in with the DHC staff lead and receive instructions.
Cancellations: If you are unable to attend your shift, please notify your volunteer lead as soon as possible.
Liability Waiver: All Hope Dealers must have a current volunteer agreement on file. This only needs to be completed once per year.
