Hope Dealer Role:
Life Skills Instructor
Date/Time: 8 Weeks, 1–3 hours per week. Based on a flexible schedule.
Location: Dallas Hope Center, Dallas, TX 75228
Located west of White Rock Lake. For the safety and privacy of our residents, the address will be provided upon assignment approval.

Summary:
The Organization and Cleaning Skills Workshop aims to equip participants with essential life skills to maintain clean, orderly living environments. This workshop is designed to foster independence, teach effective organization strategies, and create routines that contribute to healthier living. Residents of the Hope Center will learn practical techniques for cleaning, decluttering, and organizing their personal spaces to enhance their daily lives.

Requirements/Needs:

  • Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced, as you will be teaching and guiding residents through cleaning techniques and organizational strategies.
  • Commitment Level: Minimum of 8 weeks, with 1–3 hours per week. Sessions can be taught in group settings or individual formats, depending on experience and level of commitment.
  • Teaching Environment: Comfortable interacting and teaching young adults (ages 18–24) in small group or individual settings.
  • Supportive Approach: Create a positive and encouraging environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Empathy: Understand and respect the challenges faced by residents of the Hope Center.
  • Background Check: All volunteers must undergo a standard background check to ensure a safe and secure environment for all participants.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in organizational methods and cleaning practices.
  • Experience teaching or mentoring in group or one-on-one settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and committed to the full duration of the time requested.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, hands-on learning sessions.
  • Pass background check.
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement.

Dress Code:
Comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, blue Hope Dealer shirt.
