3 - Prog: ABEL - ABEL Training Assistant
ABEL Assistant Position:
- Tuesdays and/or Thursdays 8am-4:30pm
- NCDPS background check and volunteer training required -- cannot be under supervision of NC Department of Adult Corrections in last year
- Valid drivers license and auto insurance required (EENP has auto insurance but our carrier requires volunteers to also have insurance)
- Drive with EENP staff and dogs to ABEL program in EENP vehicle, help throughout the day, and drive back
Volunteer should be able to make a four month commitment to help with ABEL at one facility weekly (with exceptions for vacations). Consistency and flexibility are important attributes for successful volunteers in this position!
Qualifications Required
- Canine Care & Safety qualified? Must be Completed/Approved - quiz AND paperwork
- Transport Qualified Must be DL and Auto Insurance Current
