International Eat & Greet Program Volunteer
Volunteer Role: International Eat & Greet Program Support
Volunteer Supervisor: Cultural Inclusion Programmer
Volunteer Term: September through April
Expected Hours: 1 hour shifts
Position Summary:
The International Eat & Greet Program Volunteers perform a variety of in-centre tasks designed to support the International Eat & Greet program. This includes:
- Providing a welcoming presence in the centre, answering questions and directing students
- Helping set out food & program supplies
- Restocking food items if available
- Encouraging positive behaviours in a constructive way, such as reminding students to clean up after themselves
- Completing administrative work
- Maintaining a clean and organized centre
Position Requirements:
In addition to meeting and maintaining the Students’ Association of Mount Royal University’s volunteer standards, the volunteers:
- Must present a clean and welcoming appearance and a friendly manner;
- Must be dependable and punctual;
- Must be courteous and personable when dealing with centre users and the public;
- Must respect and maintain confidentiality of SAMRU and any users, volunteers, and partners.
Onboarding and Training Requirements include:
- Completion of basic orientation program
- Specific training from volunteer supervisor
Evaluation:
- Volunteer supervisor will perform an evaluation of this role after each shift.
Time Commitment:

Minimum 1 hour per month (1 shift/month)

Volunteer Role: Building Bridges: Tea & Bannock Talking Circle Program Support
Volunteer Supervisor: Cultural Inclusion Programmer
Volunteer Term: September through April
Expected Hours: 1 hour shifts
Position Summary:
The Tea & Bannock Program Volunteers perform a variety of in-centre tasks designed to support the Tea & Bannock program. This includes:
- Providing a welcoming presence in the centre, answering questions and directing students
- Helping set out food & program supplies
- Restocking food items if available
- Creating a safe and non judgmental space where students can ask questions and have productive conversations
- Encouraging positive behaviours in a constructive way, such as reminding students to clean up after themselves
- Completing administrative work
- Maintaining a clean and organized centre
Position Requirements:
