Gardens of Golden Gate Park

Children’s Garden winter project days. Wednesdays, January 14, 21, 28 and February 4, and 11 from 1:00-4:00pm 

The Children’s Garden is a learning landscape that changes through the seasons. We would love your help this winter season tending to specific areas where you’ll see a big change in a short time – you'll be transforming spaces for school groups and families to enjoy all year long. Projects involve building seating, installing decorative fencing, and creating signs.  You’ll also help with basic horticulture maintenance such as weeding, mulching pathways and pruning.  If you are interested in doing a full day of volunteering, you can also join the Children’s Garden Green Team on Wednesday mornings starting at 10, have a lunch break and join for the afternoon as well!  If you have any questions outreach to outdoor educator Erick Monroy at emonroy@gggp.org.
