Horticulture at SFBG - Fri. Green Team with Milo: Chile, Andean Cloud Forest, and more
Accepting new volunteers as space is available. For your first assignment, meet Milo in the Library Terrace located within the San Francisco Botanical Garden.
Help Milo maintain the Chile, Andean Cloud forest, and more in the San Francisco Botanical Garden.
No experience needed.
How to prepare:
- Wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toed shoes
- Bring a water bottle. Water fountains to replenish your water bottle are available near the restrooms
- Bring snacks if you wish, but have them wrapped up - there are squirrels at the Gardens.
- Bring your own gardening gloves or borrow some from the Gardens.
- Dress for the weather: hat, sunscreen, layers, etc.
- If you have a hand trowel or hori-hori, you may bring it to use in the Garden.
- Be prepared to wear gloves and appropriate safety gear (ie safety glasses, if your horticulturist advises)
- Plan to have fun, help your team, and follow the horticulturist's instructions. If you are unsure, ask questions!
