This basic tax preparer role is ideal for first-year volunteers. We provide comprehensive training in tax law, software, IRS certification requirements, and site procedures, along with ongoing support from mentors, experienced preparers, guides, and checklists.
Basic Tax Preparers assist taxpayers during intake, gather required documents, scan paperwork, and help prepare basic tax returns. Above all, they play an important role in providing excellent customer service to every taxpayer.
