Virtual Preparer
Our virtual position is designed for individuals residing out of state or facing physical limitations preventing them from being able to volunteer at our sites. After completing our training, virtual preparers should feel confident working independently, committing to a minimum of 10 hours per week. Despite not being on-site, mentors will be available to guide as needed.
We offer extensive training in tax law and software usage for return preparation. To ensure professionalism, all phone interactions with taxpayers must be conducted using our VITA phone apps; personal cell phones are strictly prohibited for making calls.
