Naval Museum of Alberta Host

Job Purpose:

The NMA has the distinction of having the most complete collection of major ship weapons systems in Canada. The Museum also has an extensive collection of archives, artefacts and photographs related to Canadian naval and maritime history which is held in the University of Calgary Library and Archives which is held on site in the same building.

As a gallery host in the Naval Museums of Alberta, you are the first point of contact for visitors to the gallery. You will become (if you are not already!) an expert in Canadian Naval Military History and share your expertise with visitors.

Position Schedule: Monday - Sunday 9am - 1pm and/or 1pm - 5pm
Position Requirements: 

-Knowledgeable of Canadian Naval Military History or the desire to learn

-Great customer service and comfortable speaking with the public 

-A passion for history and the stories that come with it 

-A Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check
