Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding - U CAN Try-It Camp - Sit Skiing

We are incredibly fortunate to have received funding from the Wim & Nancy Pauw Foundation to provide a Try-It camp for participants who have never skied/snowboarded before and have a disability. This is an excellent opportunity to aid in a sit ski lesson for someone who is brand new to this sport.

Please note that this opportunity is not for a specific participant. As all participants on this camp are brand new, instructors will assess where the highest volunteer need is and communicate roles to volunteers on the day. A lunch break will be taken mid-day, and volunteers are not required to stay with the participant. Lessons may last until 4 PM but ultimately depend on participant endurance.

  • Location: Sunshine Village
  • What to Wear/Bring: Weather-appropriate layers of clothing, all personal equipment, pass (if you have one), water, lunch, and anything else you would like for a day of skiing.
  • What’s Provided: Vest (to be identified as an RMA volunteer), day ticket (if you do not have a pass).

Additional details (confirmation of time, exact meeting location, ticket information) will be sent out 2-3 days before the activity date. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact volunteer@rockymountainadaptive.com
