Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters.

Our fundraising volunteers are a vital part of team SCAA, raising life saving funds and awareness in communities all over Scotland.

As a Collections Volunteer, you’ll attend supermarkets, train stations and sports stadiums raising awareness and funds with our SCAA stands.

What you’ll do

  • Work as a team to set up/dismantle our stand. Usually a table, pop up banner, leaflets and buckets.
  • Support our Mascots Whirly and Nevis if they are appearing.
  • Our events are usually outdoors, so please wrap up warm / bring sunscreen (depending on the weather) and wear suitable footwear.
  • Speak to guests about SCAA and our latest news. You’ll often meet our supporters and past patients, including their families and friends.
  • Accept cash or card payments for donations.

The skills you’ll need

  • Punctual & organised.
  • Friendly and keen to chat with our lovely visitors.
  • Happy to work as a team.
  • Reasonable levels of fitness. Events require a longer period of standing and walking.
