Volunteers help monitor the entrance and exit of the exhibit during operating hours to ensure the safety of the butterflies. As a volunteer you will be helping staff ensure butterflies remain in the showroom by asking guests to check themselves for any butterflies before exiting. 

All volunteers must complete an orientation before their first shift. There are in-person orientations on site at Krohn scheduled, as well as an online training is now required for all new and returning volunteers:

Reminders: 

• Upon arriving, make sure to visit the Visitor Center and sign-in.
• Bring a reusable water bottle and wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes. The conservatory is usually 10-15 degrees warmer than outside temperatures.
• Bring snack, we will try to give you a break during your shift to eat it.
• This volunteer position requires frequent sitting to standing.
