Conservation & Land Stewardship - PBW Habitat Heroes - Honeysuckle Removal

 
Join Preserve Burnet Woods HABITAT HEROES for Saturday work days for the coming fall!
 
The work days will focus on honeysuckle eradication.
 
We will bring tools and a hand/eyewash station.
  • Dress for any weather and possible exposure to poison ivy/allergens
  • Bring a mask for when we are less than 6 feet apart from each other
  • Bring a water bottle, work gloves and any personal medications you may need
  • Make sure any personal tools you bring are clearly labeled with your identifiers
  • Close-toed shoes, long sleeves, long pants and protective eyewear are recommended
  • RAIN or INCLEMENT WEATHER (including high winds) cancels event
  • ALL VOLUNTEERS must check in with site organizer for any student or parks volunteer hour credits even if preregistered online.

 

The mission of Preserve Burnet Woods is to protect, promote, celebrate and sustain Burnet Woods as a community-supported greenspace and urban oasis. The members of Preserve Burnet Woods (PBW) believe that Burnet Woods has unique ecological assets in our urban community which should be preserved for generations to come and celebrated in the present. We are members of the surrounding communities, professors, biologists, students, naturalists, photographers, parents and friends.
