Conservation & Land Stewardship - Better Impact Info Sessions
Better Impact has been an incredible tool for Cincinnati Parks to organize and structure the volunteer program further. Shifting to a digital administration system enabled us to provide training, learn about volunteer trends and point to the need for additional trainings, and especially centralize all of our efforts around conservation. It also has been an instrumental part of the growth of the program from a handful of sites doing conservation work to more than a dozen.
These Info sessions will include two parts. Volunteers will get a deep dive into how the portal is organized from a users perspective, how to orient to their own profile and an overview of how to access the site as an administrator.
We will begin with a focus on the user. Volunteers will learn how to find events, trainings, documents and log hours. The second portion of the session will provide an overview of how volunteers can access Better Impact as an administrator. Better Impact is a tool that CPACs and Site Leaders have available to organize efforts. We will give basics on how to access as an administrator and the basic functions of using the tool to communicate with volunteers for your efforts.
These are in person trainings, I suggest bringing a laptop or a mobile device if you have one available.
There is also a schedule for more in-depth sessions to learn how to navigate as an admin. These sessions are also held monthly and can be virtual or in-person, with an option for scheduling an alternate date - learn more HERE.
