Citizen Science - Conservation Efforts - Firefly BioBlitz
Description: Participate in a Firefly bioblitz and help gather data pertaining to the population of different species within Cincinnati Parks. Identification methods and instruments will be provided. Participants will be broken into groups and will record information based on planned locations.
Surveys will be conducted and submitted per https://www.fireflyatlas.org iNaturalist will also be used.
Study walking shoes/boots and flashlights/headlamps with red light mode are recommended. Phones with photo capabilities are suggested.
Firefly emergence is temperature dependent, and population level may vary. This event will still occur with light rain. An email will be sent prior to the event if there are any changes.
