Horticulture Helpers - Yeatman's Cove & Sawyer Point Grounds Assistance

 Yeatman's Cove & Sawyer Point Parks - 705 E. Pete Rose Way 45202

Volunteers will work together alongside Parks staff at Yeatman's Cove & areas around Sawyer Point. Tasks will include general horticultural needs (clearing, weeding, deadheading, light pruning, watering, and planting). This a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in public horticulture or who enjoys working outdoors!

The goal is to build an experienced group of volunteers that report to Yeatman's & Sawyer Point on a regular basis and work with the horticulture staff at least two shifts per month, and up to many as you are able. This will be an on-going opportunity that requires a long-term commitment, minimum of at least one season.

This opportunity offers flexibility for volunteers seeking an on-going, consistent work schedule, for example - reporting to the garden every Tuesday from 8am - 10am. It can be any day Mon-Fri and any time between 8:00am to 3:00pm. A schedule will be established with our Parks staff and volunteer prior to commitment for planning purposes.

Volunteers should be 18 years of age or older.

Volunteers should wear clothing that they can work comfortably in and that is weather appropriate. It is recommended that you bring a refillable water bottle and work gloves.  Close- toed shoes are required.
