Workdays will focus on trail clearance or tread repairs.
Clearing honeysuckle helps promote safety by improving site lines, opening up trail heads and trail intersections, and allowing light into the trail corridor. Removal of this invasive species is an important first step in improving the quality of the trail surface as we work to improve drainage throughout the park.
Close-toed shoes required. Work gloves and pants are recommended and if you have any of the following tools please bring them with you:
- Loppers
- Small Hand Saw
- Small Hand Saw
But don't worry if you don't have tools, we have plenty to share.
I would recommend bringing a water bottle, especially if you plan on being out there for the entire 3 hours. With that said, please work for as little or as long as you are able. Please keep in mind that during the winter months there are no bathrooms open in the park.
