Cincinnati Parks

 

Join members of Friends of Kennedy Heights Park, Kennedy Heights Community Council, Friends of French Park, and Pleasant Ridge Community Council as we learn about and improve Kennedy Heights Park and French Park.

 

Our focus will be more on increasing our understanding of all the plants and animals that live in our parks rather than focusing on a few invasive plants that need to be removed (we will still remove them). Everything we learn will be usable whenever you spend time outdoors - whether it’s working in your yard, choosing what plants to put in your yard, just enjoying the outdoors, or you’re out hiking and you encounter a plant you’ve never seen before. We will start learning how and increase our ability to identify everything we encounter, regardless of season.

 

Our events will be held on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 9-12 AM (except there will be no events in March, November, and December). We will work in the same area at Kennedy Heights Park at every event so we can observe how the park changes throughout the year. Slight selection at French Park will be decided by Friends of French Park as we get closer to those events.

For Kennedy Heights Parks events, meet at the main parking lot off Kennedy Ave.

For French Park events, meet at the middle parking lot near French House. 

 

Cancellation policy

 

We won't cancel for light rain or cold but will adjust our workflow. Great nature experiences can still be had even when the weather isn't ideal.
