What is Startup Weekend?
TechStars Startup Weekend is a fast-paced, 54-hour, hackathon-style event where aspiring entrepreneurs can experience startup life by pitching ideas, forming teams, doing customer discovery, creating a demo, and pitching their final presentation all within one weekend.
Startup Weekend General Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the volunteer lead
- Assist with communication between volunteer lead, other volunteers, and organizers
- Answer participants' questions throughout the weekend in person and on Slack
- Help with wayfinding
- Ensure other volunteers are where they are needed.
Who are you?
- Strong communication is a must!
- Organized and strong attention to detail
- Punctual
- Excited to work with entrepreneurs and get involved in the tech ecosystem!
- Understanding of the Platform Building is an asset
