Volunteer Eligibility Requirements
To participate as a volunteer at Inventures 2025, you must meet the following criteria: 

Residency & Accommodation: Volunteer Ambassadors must either reside in Calgary or arrange their own accommodation for the duration of the conference.

Time Commitment: Volunteers must contribute a minimum of 6 hours across the three-day conference. Shift selection will be facilitated through our volunteer management platform, Bloomerang. The link to Bloomerang will be provide once your application has been approved. 

Mandatory Orientation: All volunteers must attend the Inventures orientation session scheduled for Tuesday, May 20 (late afternoon) at the BMO Centre in Calgary. This orientation is a prerequisite for participation in the Volunteer Ambassador program.

How to Volunteer
To become a volunteer ambassador navigate to Bloomerang and complete the application form.


If you have previously volunteered for Inventures, you can use your 2024 Bloomerang log in. Please ensure the information in your profile is updated. Please note that once you complete your application, you will not see any available shifts at this time.

Once you receive an acceptance email, you will be added to the list of Volunteer Ambassadors and be notified when shifts are ready for you to select.

Community Connect is a monthly gathering of Platform tech company members and support organizations/partners, that happens over the lunch hour and includes a fireside chat with a featured founder. This takes place at Platform 11:30 am - 1:00 pm and will take place on 3rd Tuesdays of the month on the following dates in 2025:

We are looking for 2-3 volunteers per event to assist Platform team members with light event set up, guest check in, and post event reset.

Tech Talent Tuesday is a bi-weekly gathering for those interested in taking their first steps and/or  advancing their career in tech. The series will rotate through topics including startups that are hiring, career pathways, tips from recruiters, co-founder stories and more. This takes place at Platform 4:30 - 6:30 pm every second Tuesday on the following dates in 2025:

Our journey began as a small WhatsApp group, and today, we stand strong with nearly 3,000 members, fostering an engaged community on both WhatsApp and Discord. Our Discord community is a treasure trove of resources, featuring channels such as a Job Board, Resume Help, Event Recordings, and an array of enjoyable activities.
