What is Startup Weekend?

TechStars Startup Weekend is a fast-paced, 54-hour, hackathon-style event where aspiring entrepreneurs can experience startup life by pitching ideas, forming teams, doing customer discovery, creating a demo, and pitching their final presentation all within one weekend. 

Startup Weekend General Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the volunteer lead and follow all instructions
• Help with event setup, guest check-in, networking, catering assistance, and other miscellaneous tasks
• Greet / welcome speakers and guests
• Building wayfinding

• Strong communication is a must!
• Organized and strong attention to detail
• Punctual
• Excited to work with entrepreneurs and get involved in the tech ecosystem!
• Understanding of the Platform Building is an asset
