What is Startup Weekend?

TechStars Startup Weekend is a fast-paced, 54-hour, hackathon-style event where aspiring entrepreneurs can experience startup life by pitching ideas, forming teams, doing customer discovery, creating a demo, and pitching their final presentation all within one weekend. 

Startup Weekend AV / Stage-hand Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the volunteer lead and head of AV, follow all instructions

• Running microphones to speakers and participants during Q&A

• Timekeeping during pitches

• Judge Liaison: provide list of pitch teams, collect scores from judges, add-hoc assistance

Who are you?

• Strong communication is a must!

• Previous experience in stage production or AV skills

• Organized and strong attention to detail

• Punctual
• Excited to work with entrepreneurs and get involved in the tech ecosystem!
