Are you compassionate, friendly, and looking to give back to your community in a hospital setting? The Ambulatory Care Department is seeking reliable, people-focused volunteers to join our team and help create a welcoming, supportive experience for patients and visitors.
About the Role:
As a volunteer in Registration and Ambulatory Care, you’ll be a vital presence—offering a warm smile, emotional support, and helpful direction to patients. You’ll act as an extra set of “helping hands” alongside our hospital staff, enhancing the quality of care through kindness, conversation, and calm guidance.
This is an independent role—you’ll have a main staff contact, but much of your volunteering will be done independently in quieter areas with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet and guide patients to their appointments

Offer comfort and companionship to those who may be anxious or waiting alone

Support hospital staff with non-clinical tasks to improve patient flow and experience

Provide a reassuring presence in the waiting areas
Shift Options:
🕰️ Weekdays

Morning: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
-
Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
✅ A weekly commitment is required to help ensure consistency and build rapport with patients and staff.
Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old

Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working independently

Able to maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital protocols
