Aged Care Team - STAR Social Activities Volunteer
About the role
You’ll play a vital role in supporting older community members to overcome social isolation and stay actively connected. Your role will focus on hosting and facilitating group social activities, helping clients feel welcomed, comfortable, and included. From greeting attendees to coordinating light refreshments and encouraging conversation, you’ll be part of making each social event a warm, engaging experience that reflects STAR’s values of respect, dignity, and empowerment.
You’ll assist clients with seating, social engagement, and navigating activities while being a key point of contact for any questions. You'll also help ensure client safety, support participation, and contribute to a positive group atmosphere. This is a meaningful and rewarding way to make a difference while being involved in vibrant community activities.
