About the Role
As a Volunteer Group Social Activities Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping older people overcome social isolation and enjoy positive social experiences. You will assist with hosting and facilitating group activities, ensuring participants feel welcomed, included, and supported throughout each event.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Welcoming and assisting clients as they arrive
- Helping set up and serve light refreshments
- Encouraging conversation and social interaction
- Supporting clients to participate in activities
- Assisting with seating and general comfort
- Being a friendly point of contact for clients and visitors
- Helping maintain a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment
