🌟 Volunteer Social Club Hosts Needed – Redlands & Ipswich 🌟
Do you enjoy meeting new people, creating connections, and helping seniors stay active in their community?
STAR Community Services is seeking caring and friendly volunteers to support our Lunch Club, Easy Shopper Bus, and Charter Trips programs across the Redlands and Ipswich regions.
💙 As a Volunteer Social Club Host, you will help older people enjoy social outings, build friendships, and remain connected to their community.
🚍 Volunteer Opportunities Include:
🍽️ Lunch Club Host
• Welcome and assist clients during lunch outings
• Facilitate introductions and conversations
• Help create a warm and inclusive social environment
🛒 Easy Shopper Volunteer Escort
• Assist clients on and off the bus
• Help with shopping bags, walkers, and trolleys
• Ensure clients are comfortable and safe throughout their outing
🌿 Charter Trip Host
• Support clients on enjoyable day trips to local attractions
• Assist with morning tea and lunch arrangements
• Encourage social interaction and help ensure the day runs smoothly

• Friendly, patient, and compassionate
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Social and community-minded
• Passionate about supporting older people
STAR will assist successful volunteers to obtain:
• National Police Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid & CPR
(at no cost)
📅 Flexible opportunities available – from one day per fortnight.
