Position Overview
The Career Development Events Coordinator supports PMI-LA’s mission to provide professional growth opportunities by planning and executing events focused on career development for chapter members. This volunteer role helps organize workshops, networking sessions, and speaker events that enhance members’ project management skills, promote career advancement, and foster engagement within the PMI-LA community.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the VP of Career Development to plan and manage career-related events throughout the year.
• Coordinate logistics including venue, registration, speaker outreach, and promotional materials.
• Partner with Marketing and Membership teams to promote events and ensure alignment with chapter goals.
• Liaise with speakers, panelists, and vendors to confirm participation and deliverables.
• Support post-event activities such as attendee feedback collection, reporting, and documentation.
• Attend monthly coordination meetings and maintain regular communication with the Career Development team.
Desired Skills and Experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in event planning, logistics coordination, or project coordination is a plus.
• Familiarity with PMI-LA or interest in professional development and networking activities.
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a volunteer-driven, virtual team environment.
