Membership Communications Liaison
Summary: The Membership Communications Liaison partners with the Marketing Committee to coordinate promotions, campaigns, and storytelling initiatives on behalf of the Membership Committee. This role supports chapter communications by creating visibility for volunteers, raising awareness of key benefits like the Hardship Provision, and engaging underrepresented member segments (e.g., retirees).
Duties:
· Volunteer Spotlight Management - Coordinate monthly publication of the Volunteer Spotlight, including:
o Drafting or requesting graphic assets
o Posting content on the PMI-LA website and submitting for social media promotion
o Collaborating with the VP of Membership and Volunteer Engagement team
· Campaign Oversight - Develop and execute Membership-led campaigns including:
o Hardship Provision Awareness Campaign
o Retiree Engagement Campaign
o Other benefit-driven or value delivery initiatives
· Marketing Liaison Responsibilities - Serve as the point of contact between the Membership and Marketing Committees to:
o Submit marketing requests
o Collaborate on messaging and graphic design
o Align timelines and content for newsletters, website, and social platforms
· Content Creation & Mockups
o Create draft messaging, image mockups, or visual templates as needed to support Membership communications and campaigns.
· Documentation & Lessons Learned
o Maintain campaign trackers, spotlight archives, and contribute to post-campaign reviews.
· Membership Team Collaboration
o Attend monthly Membership Team meetings and contribute to planning and engagement activities across Membership initiatives.
Skills:
· Strong communication and coordination skills
· Basic graphic editing or mockup ability (Canva or similar tools)
· Organized and proactive, with a marketing mindset
· Collaborative and responsive to feedback from multiple committees
Estimated Time Commitment: 1 to 3 hours per week (remote/flexible). Includes content planning, coordination with Marketing, and attendance at monthly Membership meetings. May support 1-2 major campaigns and 12 Volunteer Spotlights annually
