Group Volunteer - One Time Volunteer Day - Application

Our Group and One-Day Volunteer Projects provide businesses, service clubs, community organizations, churches, schools, and other groups with a meaningful opportunity to support pets in need while giving back to the community.
Volunteer projects are customized based on the Center's current needs and may include:
• Foster Starter Kit assembly
• Maintenance Club projects
• Sewing Team projects
• Campus beautification
• Organizing storage areas
• Laundry and supply preparation
• Kennel and facility cleaning
• Thrift Store support
• Event preparation and support
• Other special projects that directly support our animals and programs
*Please note that volunteer assignments are based on organizational needs and may change prior to or on the day of service.
IS THIS THE RIGHT APPLICATION?
This application is intended for:
• Corporate volunteer groups
• Community organizations
• Service clubs
• Church groups
• Sports teams
• Scout groups
• Other organized groups seeking a one-time volunteer opportunity
This application is not intended for:
• Individuals seeking ongoing volunteer opportunities
• Students looking to complete individual volunteer hours
• Students completing civics projects

SCHEDULING INFORMATION
Group volunteer projects are generally available Tuesday through Saturday based on organizational needs and staff availability.
To help us find the best fit, please provide 2–4 preferred dates when submitting your inquiry. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, availability varies based on staffing, project needs, and shelter activities.
Preferred volunteer start times include:
• 8:00 AM
• 10:00 AM
• 3:00 PM
Most volunteer projects last approximately two hours, though project length may vary depending on the assignment.
We can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 15 participants. Larger groups may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS
Volunteer projects are a great option for students, clubs, and organizations seeking community service opportunities. Verification of volunteer service hours is available upon request.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After your application is submitted, the Volunteer Services Coordinator will contact you to discuss scheduling, project options, and next steps.
Unless otherwise directed, volunteer projects take place at:

Please note that some volunteer opportunities, such as Thrift Store projects, may take place at alternate locations. Location details will be provided in advance.
All participants must complete a One-Time Volunteer Release of Liability Waiver and Social Media Policy before participating.
For safety reasons, volunteers must wear:
• Closed-toe shoes
• Long pants
• Clothing suitable for outdoor and hands-on projects
We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle.
Parking is available onsite and along nearby streets. Because parking can be limited during busy periods, carpooling is encouraged.
LOOKING FOR HANDS-ON TIME WITH ANIMALS?
Group volunteer projects focus primarily on supporting shelter operations and do not typically include direct animal handling.
If your group is interested in activities that include spending time with adoptable dogs, we encourage you to explore our PAC Walk program or Team Building with Dogs experience.
