When you volunteer at the pet adoption center, you're joining an amazing team of volunteers and staff who are committed to providing support in many different ways to orphaned pets in our community. As a volunteer you will be rewarded for your efforts through recognition events during National Volunteer Week and the best of all, you'll be helping pets in need receive the second chance they so deserve.
Spend time playing with the kittens, reading to the cats, or creating fun and yummy enrichment items for them to enjoy in their kennels.
*Must complete volunteer application, volunteer orientation, in-person cat socialization/enrichment training*
Spend time walking dogs, hanging out with puppies in their kennels, or creating fun enrichment items.
*Must complete volunteer application, volunteer orientation, watch dog walking training videos, in-person dog walking training, in-person enrichment training, in-person puppy socialization training*
Assist staff by greeting guests, checking in pets for their appointments, and monitoring the clinic lobby.
*Must complete volunteer application, volunteer orientation, in-person vaccine clinic training*
Take care of newborn kittens and puppies, offer a comfortable space for pets recovering from surgery, or open your home temporarily to give Center pets a break from their kennel.
Depending on the event, event volunteers could be helping with set-up/break down, event check-in, volunteer check-in, raffle, running a booth, handling pets, or sharing information about MSRPAC with event attendees.
Help thrift store staff sort and display items or assist guests with purchases.

The Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center strives to eliminate the suffering of homeless dogs and cats by providing humane care for pets in transition, facilitating adoption to good homes, supporting pet overpopulation education, and supporting sterilization of companion animals.
