Looking for a fun, pet-friendly event in Riverside? Join Walk with the Animals, presented by DCH Subaru of Riverside, the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center's largest annual charity walk for pets. This heartwarming event brings together animal lovers, families, and local businesses for a morning of walking, festivities, and fundraising—all to support homeless pets.

Event Information

Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Location: Fairmount Park – 2601 Fairmount Blvd, Riverside, CA 92501
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Event Schedule
9:00 AM – Registration Opens, Pancake Breakfast, T-Shirt Pick-Up, Vendor Village Opens
9:45 AM – Blessing of the Animals
10:00 AM – Walk Begins
12:00 PM – Event Concludes


Volunteer Roles

  • Vendor Assistance, 6:30AM - 9:00AMHelp our vendors set up their booths by moving their supplies across the vendor village to their pre-assigned spot. Lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds.
  • Route Cheerleader, 9:00AM - 11:30AM - Ensure walkers are following the correct route and hold signs to encourage them throughout the walk.
  • Vendor Assistance, 11:30AM - 2:00PM - Help our vendors break down their booths by moving their supplies across the vendor village and loading their vehicles. Lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds.
  • Event Tear Down, 12:00PM - 2:00PM - Assist with breaking down event, collecting and disposing of trash, and loading equipment onto MSRPAC vehicles. Lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be 14+ to volunteer, no exceptions.
  • Must complete all areas of the online application; incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Must be able to commit to the full volunteer shift.
  • Volunteers joining us from organization or clubs MUST wear a representative shirt from their organization/ club. Independent volunteers with no corporate or club affiliations will be provided a Walk shirt.
  • Pets are not permitted to volunteer with you. If you prefer to participate with your pet, you can sign up to Walk! 

Other Details 

The Walk is outdoors in the early morning, so wear warm layers and water-resistant shoes. Also, be prepared for a few hours of standing.

There are no designated areas to leave your personal items so please only bring what you can carry or leave in your car.

Parking is free at the park.
