Orientations and Trainings - General Volunteer Orientation (Virtual)
The purpose of Volunteer Orientation is to learn more about the Garden, how to join the volunteer community, what volunteer opportunities exist and how to use our volunteer scheduling system Better Impact.
You'll also have the chance to meet new as well as active and seasoned volunteers at the Garden, in addition to HBG staff.
Orientation is required in order to become an approved volunteer and sign up for all scheduled shifts at the Garden.
Our In-person Volunteer Orientation is usually held on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 11am-12pm, after an "All-Call", open Horticulture volunteer project, and before our monthly Lunch & Learn called the Botanic Beat.
Our Virtual Volunteer Orientation is usually held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 4pm-5pm.
Be sure to sign up ahead of time through the 'Opportunities' list or "Calendar" on the homepage of the Better Impact.
