Grounds & Garden Volunteer - Colchester

Are you a passionate gardener?
Do you enjoy working alongside others?
Do you have experience of maintaining a garden or allotment?
If you answered yes to all of the above, we would love to hear from you.
Volunteers should be available on a regular basis. You do not need horticultural qualifications, but its helpful if you have some experience of maintaining a garden or allotment. What is more important is your love of people and spending time maintaining our grounds and gardens within the hospital grounds for the enjoyment of our patients, staff and visitors.
Typical gardening tasks that volunteers will assist with will include:
-
Seedbed preparation.
-
Vegetable and flower planting, maintenance and harvesting
-
Pruning
-
General garden maintenance
Shifts are on Wednesdays with the RHS Gardening club.
If this sounds like something you'd like to try, please complete our online application form and we will be in touch or pop to our Wellbeing Garden on a Wednesday morning and speak to Alison from RHS.
