2019 Feed the Kids

Feed the Kids is a summer meal program designed to meet the needs of children in Milwaukee neighborhoods with the greatest needs.  The Salvation Army vans bring lunch meals to neighborhoods, parks and street corners to serve an average of 2,000 lunches each day, Monday - Friday, for approximately 10 weeks each summer.

The meal assembly for the Feed the Kids program is completely volunteer supported. Twenty volunteers are needed Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (or until meal assembly is completed).

Youth under age 18 must have approval from parent or guardian in order to volunteer. This form is available to print here:  Parental Consent Form   Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Groups of teens or children require one adult per every four children.

Duties include:  Meal preparation, assembly, light clean-up and room set-up for the next day.

2019 Wisconsin State Fair

Calling all families (with children over the age of 10), employee groups, clubs, church groups and individuals!

Help keep guests of the 2019 Wisconsin State Fair cool and hydrated!  As a Water Patrol volunteer you will be pouring and handing out cups of icy cold water courtesy of The Salvation Army and Culligan.

Volunteers should love interacting with the public, practice good hygiene, be able to stand for the duration of their shift, and remember to dress for the weather!

The Salvation Army Hydration Station is an outdoor tented booth.
