Invasive Species - Balsam Bash Ghyll Head
Come join us for a Balsam Bash at Ghyll Head activity centre overlooking Windermere on Friday 07/08/2026.
Himalayan Balsam is a highly Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) which if left, can spread rapidly and outcompete native species. They can even cause erosion to riverbanks, because they are so shallow rooted!
We'll be at Ghyll Head from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, where we will bash this invasive species
Parking is available on site in the main carpark past the house and gloves will be provided. You just need to sign up and an e-mail will be sent with the location details, prior to the event.
