Volunteer activities
Riverfly Surveys
Survey invertebrates as an indicator of water quality on a monthly basis between April and September. Full training and equipment will be provided by South Cumbria Rivers Trust.

Invasive Species Control
Join us to 'balsam bash' throughout the summer months.
Invasive species like Himalayan Balsam outcompete native species and can cause erosion and flooding. Help protect our riverbanks.

Habitat Creation & Restoration
Support some of our project work by helping to restore or create habitats around South Cumbria. Typical activities include tree planting, leaky dam creation and reedbed restoration.

Priority Habitats - Narturalness assessments
Join the movement of people getting out and about, discovering all about priority habitats and naturalness.

Water Quality Monitoring
Project dependent, there may be opportunities to carry out water quality monitoring.

Reedbed Restoration
Join us for the Reed Revival - we will be planting new sites and maintaining older sites around Lake Windermere.
