Van Driver for Food Rescuing or Deliveries
Do you like driving and meeting new people? Working as part of a small team? or Do you have a passion for preventing food waste and like driving?
You will be responsible for driving the Bendigo Foodshare van whilst being the friendly face of Bendigo Foodshare.
These roles involve:
- Being responsible for driving the Bendigo Foodshare van to deliver food to our partner organisations throughout Bendigo and Central Victoria.
or
- Being responsible for the collection sorting, loading and recording of food from our local supermarkets and businesses throughout Bendigo and Central Victoria. With a few food drop offs thrown in along the way.
You will need to ensure safe driving and loading of the vehicle at all times, communicate with the partner organisations &/or donors along the way and maintain the vehicle paperwork.
There will also be an assistant (co pilot) to help with the loading and unloading, paperwork, phone calls and navigation.
Pre-drive checks are required daily to maintain the safety and cleanliness of our vehicles.
