Bartender Volunteer
Bartender Volunteer - Position Description
Role:
To courteously and efficiently serve beverages and other concession items to guests in accordance with the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton (FOACM) policies and procedures, and with regard to the Liquor License Laws of the Province of Ontario. The bar/concessions are open one hour prior to show and at intermission.
Time Commitment:
- Volunteer for two shifts per month
- Required on site 90 minutes prior to curtain, or as scheduled
Responsibilities:
- Report to the volunteer room at the beginning of your shift
- Ensure there is sufficient stock.
- Sell beverages and other products to guests as requested
- Follow the principal guidelines to smart serve
- Bus the Cogeco Escarpment Hall ensuring that all glassware is clean and ready for use again at intermission
- Address any concerns to the Duty Supervisor
- Be aware of your role should an emergency or evacuation occur
- Be aware of all fire exits, extinguishers and defibrillation locations
- Complete closing procedures
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Smart Serve Certification (submitted with application or attend course provided)
- Must meet requirements of general volunteer program
