Coat Check Volunteer - Position Description

 

Role:

The Coat Check Volunteer is responsible for courteously and efficiently checking patrons’ coats, hats and other belongings at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton (FOACM); and returning them to patrons at the end of a performance. The number of Coat Check Volunteers scheduled will depend on the number of patrons expected, and the weather.

Time Commitment:

  • Volunteer minimum two (2) shifts per month
  • Arrive on site 75 minutes prior to curtain, or as scheduled

 

Responsibilities:

  • Report to volunteer room and check-in with the Duty Supervisor
  • Ensure coat room is organized
  • Accept patron belongings (coat, hat, etc.) and hang according to hanging system
  • Return patron belongings at the end of the performance
  • Distribute hearing assisted devices and booster seats upon request and collect at the end of the performance

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Must meet requirements of the Town of Milton volunteer program

Evaluation: Performance Evaluations completed by Supervisor and Volunteer, as applicable.
