Coat Check Volunteer - Position Description
Role:
The Coat Check Volunteer is responsible for courteously and efficiently checking patrons’ coats, hats and other belongings at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton (FOACM); and returning them to patrons at the end of a performance. The number of Coat Check Volunteers scheduled will depend on the number of patrons expected, and the weather.
Time Commitment:
- Volunteer minimum two (2) shifts per month
- Arrive on site 75 minutes prior to curtain, or as scheduled
Responsibilities:
- Report to volunteer room and check-in with the Duty Supervisor
- Ensure coat room is organized
- Accept patron belongings (coat, hat, etc.) and hang according to hanging system
- Return patron belongings at the end of the performance
- Distribute hearing assisted devices and booster seats upon request and collect at the end of the performance
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must meet requirements of the Town of Milton volunteer program
