Coat Check Volunteer - Position Description

 

Role:

To courteously and efficiently check patrons’ coats, hats and other belongings at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton (FOACM); and to return them at the end of a performance. The number of coat checkers scheduled will depend on the number of patrons expected, as well as the weather.

 

Time Commitment:

  • Volunteer two shifts per month
  • Required on site 75 minutes prior to curtain, or as scheduled

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure coat room is organized
  • Checking patron’s coats and belongings and return them at the end of the performance
  • Distribute hearing assisted devices and booster seats upon request and collect at the end of the performance

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be a minimum 16 years of age
  • Must meet requirements of Community Services volunteer program
