Christmas in the Square - Face Painting Attendant

Join us for Christmas in the Square on November 29th from 10am - 6pm! This event will include live entertainment, a food and beverage garden, children’s activities and an Artisan Fair.

Volunteers are wanted for a variety of roles, including providing face painting from a number of pre-set designs. A training/practice session will be offered in advance. 

Date: Sunday, November 29th, 2026

Times:

• 11:30pm - 3:15pm OR
• 3:00pm - 6:30pm

Location: Port Coquitlam Community Centre - Laking Room
2150 Wilson Avenue, Port Coquitlam

Please check in at the Volunteer Check-In Table in the Aquatics Activity Room (across from Wilson Lounge).

Specific volunteer duties will include: Welcoming child and family participants; face painting from a pre-set list of designs. Taking down the art activity stations once the event is over.  

All Volunteers may end up doing these duties:  Set up and take down of tables, chairs, and supplies; putting up/ taking down signage; providing information and direction; and assisting Special Events staff as needed. 

Working Conditions: This event will run indoors at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. 

Requirements:

• Minimum of 14 years of age
• Enjoy working independently and as part of a team
• Enjoy working with children and youth
• Experience in events or festivals is an asset
• Fluent in spoken English (fluency in a second language is an asset)
