Christmas Tree Lighting - Children's Activity Attendant

Join us for Christmas Tree Lighting on November 28^th from 4pm - 7pm! This event will include live entertainment, children’s activities, and the lighting of Port Coquitlam's Christmas Tree.

Volunteers are wanted for facilitating art activities for children and families, helping them to create a fun art project.

Date: Saturday November 28^th, 2026

Times:

• 3:45pm - 7:15pm 

Location: Leigh Square - Outlet Workroom
2253 Leigh Square Place, Port Coquitlam

Specific volunteer duties will include: Welcoming children and family to the activity area. Helping staff to set up and take down tables, chairs and art supplies. Helping Recreation Leaders lead children through art activities and creating a fun, inclusive atmosphere. 

All Volunteers may end up doing these duties: set up and take down of tables, chairs and barricades, putting up/ taking down signage, providing information and direction, and assisting Events staff as needed.

Working Conditions: This event will run indoors and outdoors at Leigh Square. 

Requirements:

• Minimum of 14 years of age
• Enjoy working independently and as part of a team
• Enjoy working with children and youth
• Experience in events or festivals is an asset
• Fluent in spoken English (fluency in a second language is an asset)
