The Majestic Theatre

Are you interested in learning more about The Majestic Theatre's rigging system? Do you know what a hemp house is and why it's special? We would love to show you the ropes! (Geddit?)

On June 19th from 9:30 am to 5 pm and June 20th from 10 am to 5 pm, our Volunteer Scene Shop Lead, Tyler Grady, will be offering his knowledge on how to maintain our rigging system.

Both days will be held on the mainstage of the theatre. The workshops will consist of repairing and replacing components of our rigging system. No rigging experience required, just a willingness to learn! The work will involve lifting heavy things at times. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to learn more about theatre rigging to learn valuable fundamentals and basic hardware terminology and use.
