Purpose of the Role
Concessions Volunteers assist with the sale of food and beverages to patrons in a friendly and efficient manner. This role helps ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for patrons while maintaining responsible service in compliance with Delaware State Laws. Attendants work at various locations throughout the venue.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and efficient service when selling food and beverages to patrons
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) equipment and accurately process electronic transactions (training provided)
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly in accordance with Delaware law
- Restock products and supplies as needed throughout the shift
- Assist with setup and breakdown of concession areas
- Be knowledgeable about concession offerings and pricing to answer patron questions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized concession environment
- Work cooperatively with other volunteers and staff in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- Support the venue by helping with other tasks as needed, including clean-up after events
- Understanding of event layouts, seating arrangements, and venue flow

Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must complete Responsible Alcohol Server Training approved by the State of Delaware and file documentation with the Volunteer Manager
- Ability to stand for 5+ hours in all weather conditions and on hard surfaces
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, and stretch to access items on shelves, coolers, or beverage storage areas
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and read in loud and dim environments

- Virtual & In-Person Orientations
- Virtual and In-Person Training
- Venue Tour
On-the-job training
