Summer Special Events
Fort Edmonton Park relishes the opportunity to celebrate our heritage and we do so through a variety of special events throughout the summer season! Help make history by volunteering at one of these great events:
Opening Weekend (May long weekend)
National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21st)
Dominion Day (July 1st)
Stones & Bones (August 16th)
Harvest Fair (Labour Day weekend)
And many more!
(We recruit separately for DARK or the Edmonton Christmas Market, as needed)
Commitment: Special events provide a sporadic, one-off opportunity to engage. Come for events that strike your interest or try them all out! This is a great way to get to know the team and learn a variety of new skills!
Qualifications: Varies by position and opportunities are available for volunteers of all ages and experience levels. All volunteers must complete a New Volunteer Orientation before their first shift, and complete a Police Records check at that time. .
To sign up: Recruitment begins in April for summer events. Check your Volunteer page frequently to see what's upcoming, as well as the monthly volunteer bulletin. By selecting this interest, Volunteer Services will contact you when there is active recruitment for related positions.
