Fort Edmonton Park

Do you enjoy meeting new people? Are you a person who likes to have a conversation with almost anyone?  We are calling on customer service experts like you to help us "WOW" our guests, and leave them with fond memories of Fort Edmonton Park that they will cherish for a lifetime!

You will form memorable relationships with our guests; be one of the first smiling faces during their experience, and be able to confidently direct them, suggest activities that they may like to take in, or generally help them to maximize their fun at the Park. You will not only enjoy what you do, but also that you get to share time with our staff and other volunteers in a fun, dynamic and inclusive environment!

Assets:

• Available for shifts (typically 4 hrs) are Wednesday through Sunday and Holiday Mondays from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm, or 1:00 - 4:00 pm.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with staff and volunteers

• Additional languages other than English

• Strong customer service skills

• Eagerness to welcome and interact with guests throughout the Park

• Willingness to share and learn new skills

• A passion for history 

• Experience working at a historical site or public attraction

This volunteer position is ongoing from May - September to share a few hours routinely; we ask for a minimum commitment of 30 hrs throughout the season.  Scheduling is flexible based upon your availability. 

Applicants for this position must be 16 yrs+, or to ensure the safety and success of younger volunteers, we require youth 14 years+  to volunteer with a parent, or guardian over the age of 18.
